Edits Services in the Demonstation Area CENTROPE

The demonstration area CENTROPE covers the Vienna Region (including Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland), Southern Moravia, the western part of Hungary and the city of Bratislava. Within this demonstration area 5 web-based EDITS Services (1 from Hungary, 1 from Austria and 3 from the Czech Republic) and 2 mobile Applications (provided by the Czech partners) are available.

The EDITS services in CENTROPE provide different cross-border traveller information services, including routing for pedestrians, cyclists, motorised vehicles and public transport.

The following services are available in this region:

Austria

Covered geographical area: Vienna Region (Vienna, Lower Austria, Burgenland), Western Transdanubian region of Hungary, South Moravian region, parts of Bratislava region

Included information: With the EDITS AnachB service cross-border information on static road information (shortest route, fastest route for cars), dynamic road information (level of service), static parking information (displaying parking facilities and park&ride facilities), walking information, cycling information, static public transport information (incl. timetables, lines and stops,..) is provided.

The service offers a variety of routing options, different speed and accessibility profiles, start and target can be set with click or text of stop or addresses, alternative routes, map presentation of the route,…

Current restrictions: For the cross-border routing to Bratislava currently only some main roads and railway lines as well as the Twin City Liner are available.

Czech Republic

Included information: IDS JMK includes cross-border information on public transport including time tables of public transport lines (incl. arrival and departure time). The journey planner offers a list of stops for the covered regions.

Included information: The multimodal journey planner Dynavix EDITS offers cross-border information for the covered area incl. static road information, dynamic road information (using FCD data provided by Brněnské komunikace a.s. for the city of Brno), walking information, static public transport information.

Dynavix offers routing functionalities for public transport based on the location of public transport stops/stations, individual transport (“tourist”) and bicycle routing

Included information: The web-service offers real-time information on the traffic status (based on Floating Car Data) for the city of Brno, as well as webcam information, static parking information and information about road-works. The data is as well integrated in the EDITS Dynavix Service.

Included information: Cross-border information on static public transport information, GIS data for the covered regions. The service provides a list of available stops, different routing options, list of alternatives, map presentation of the route
