Automated Driving and Enabling Environments for Urban Mobility at CORP

Urban Areas as Promise Zones for new Technologies and Services - one of the topics at REAL CORP 2017 on the 12th, 13th and 14th of September in Vienna. In the course of this event, AustriaTech will host two consecutive Special Focus Sessions at the Technical University of Vienna: “Enabling Environments for Urban Mobility and Planning” and “Automated Mobility is coming to my city!”. >>> more

"AVS and Cities: What is to be done?"- A review of MAK Nite last month

A panel, organized by MAK future lab, AVENUE21, TU Vienna and AustriaTech, was held in the Museum of Applied Arts in Vienna in the end of June. The discussion revolved around automated driving. Wojciech Czaja sums up the evening in a quote: "Autonomous driving will come - not in twenty years, not in ten years, not in five years, but tomorrow."

“Mobility as a Service”: Impressions from the Fluidtime Symposium

At the Fluidtime Symposium in Vienna, strategies on integrated mobility and mobility as a service were discussed and joint implementation approaches presented. Martin Russ, CEO of AustriaTech, was one of the speakers at the symposium. His central statement was the intonation of the connecting characteristic that is Mobility as a Service (MaaS). >>> more

LAirA: Green ways to airports

The new AustriaTech project LAirA (Landside Airports Accessibility) is an Interreg Central Europe project that started in May 2017 with a duration of 30 months. The project's aim is to reduce the carbon footprint caused by passengers and employees travelling to and from airports. >>> more

SHAREPLACE - transferable solutions for an integrated mobility system

The overall goal of the project SHAREPLACE (Shared mobility and Regional transport integrated Planning for a better connected Europe) is to develop an innovative approach to improve the connectivity of local, regional and transnational mobility systems.

Save the date: Self Driving Track Days in Teesdorf this friday

On Friday, 28th of July, a driverless technology training will be held at ÖAMTC in Teesdorf, Lower Austria. The event offers autonomous vehicle demonstrations and a full day workshop for anyone interested in driverless vehicles. >>> more
