Urban Future Global Conference 2016

Urbanisation is a global trend - this means that the number of residents will increase significantly during the coming decades. This leads to challenges which must be handoled - both from politics and planners from all sectors. More than 1,600 experts from more than 50 nations exchanged valuable experience.

The International Urban Future Global Conference addresses these challenges during the conference on 2nd and 3rd March - experts from over 50 nations gathered and formed the framework for in-depth interdisciplinary exchange. Also in the mobility area global trend of urbanization requires challenging actions. In addition to policy makers, mobility service providers are requested to act. The Champions League of public transport - Where multimodality actually works? - this question experts asked themselves in one specific session and discussed best practice and necessary measures. Volker Alberts, AustriaTech in this context stressed the need for cooperation between mobility service providers and the need of real user orientation as key success factors for the design of future mobility.
