The participants from local governments, industry and research got an overview of various activities in Austria and the neighbouring countries of Switzerland and Germany on the core topics. The role of cities in Shared Mobility and the dimensions of the automotive transformation were focussed by in presentations of the cooperation partners. Pitches on projects such as carvelo-Q (Switzerland), studies on the effects of station-based and free-floating carsharing and user motives for car sharing gave flint for the following discussion.
After stimulating discussions the status quo, visions and as well objectives & required actions on the core aspects of Mobility as a Service and Sharing Mobility were gathered. The core aspects include the following topics:
The results from the workshop form the basis for future subsequently focus groups and expert interviews, which will be held during the upcoming months. The objective is to identify the need for actions in research and development, as well as for actions at legal and administrative level to promote Mobility as a Service and Sharing Mobility in-depth.
