On 5th of July 2017, the matchmaking event of representatives of Urban Mobilitylabs (UML) took place in the run-up to the AGIT symposia. It included potential applicants of the call “personal mobility” in the context of the FTI-initiative “Mobility of the Future”. In the current funding, research projects relevant to personal mobility can be synergistically planned and implemented with UML for the first time. The matchmaking event offered an ideal opportunity to get in contact with the Urban Mobility Labs and their representatives as well as to discuss R&D-projects and to clarify possible cooperation’s with the UML.
After introductory words by Dietrich Leihs (FFG) on the 9th funding possibilities of “Mobility of the Future” for research projects within the framework of the Urban Mobility Labs, Doris Wiederwald (AustriaTech) gave a brief overview on the initiative UML. Afterwards the representatives of the Urban Mobility Labs introduced themselves and gave an insight into their multifaceted focuses.
A special item on the agenda was the matchmaking at the "UML tables": participants of R&D- projects and representatives of the UML had the opportunity to get to know each other, discuss possible projects and clarify any open questions.
At the end of the event, Dietrich Leihs (FFG) answered detailed questions concerning the content as well as the funding of the UML.
