Co-Cities PRIME: Call for Cities open now!

04/04/2013

Cities and regions which want to provide integrated multimodal transport information to their citizens and set up mobility services in their areas are welcome to apply for Co-Cities PRIME. This is a unique opportunity to equip your information systems with the Commonly Agreed Interface of Co-Cities supported by an experienced technology provider and to get all this with up to 50% of the implementation effort contributed by the Co-Cities project! Call is open from April 3rd to May 5th, 2013.

Multimodal traffic information services with feedback possibility

The EU-funded project Co-Cities aims at introducing and validating cooperative mobility services in cities and urban areas and provides traffic information services to the end user utilising the Co-Cities App. Additionally it allows users to give feedback on the received services via a “feedback loop”. The information provision and the feedback loop is based on the Commonly Agreed standardised Interface (CAI). It is a harmonised interface between operators, data providers and service providers (B2B interface).

Benefits of the Co-Cities PRIME Initiative

At the moment nine European Cities already use the CAI. Referring to particular interest of various stakeholders, the Co-Cities consortium started the Co-Cities PRIME Initiative: This allows other European Cities and Regions to benefit from a cost effective implementation of the CAI which is highly attractive to service providers to take up data and services due to this standard technology. Following end user services can be chosen by the city, depending on the available technical requirements:

  • Multimodal Journey Planner
  • Location based services about Public Transport
  • Location based services about traffic information
  • Location based services about Parking
  • Location based services about Points of Interest
  • (Co-Cities) Feedback services
