Co-Cities Forum at the Polis Conference

On the first day of the Polis annual meeting also a public presentation and live demonstration of the traveller information services to cities and public authorithies took place together with the publication of the version 1.0 of the Co-Cities CAI (Commonly Agreed Interface) to interested third parties. Contributions in the Q&A session showed that the CAI, an open source data interface, adopted by six European cities is an efficient tool to release static and dynamic traffic data to several ITS service providers. They can use the detailed content of the city and regional data for their mobile applications. As the interface itself is open source, traffic data publication is vendor independent for cities and regional authorithies and is delivered in the Co-Cities package with an introduction to the software elements and the respective terms of use.
